Sino Language Gateway Pledges Its Dedication to Its Students Even After Summer Camps Are Over
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) October 09, 2013 -- Sino Language Gateway (SLG), one of the pioneers in providing cultural study abroad programs for youth, reaffirmed its dedication to supporting its students even after their Summer Camps adjourn. An old Chinese idiom 一曝十寒 describes certain experiences as "one day of sunlight followed by ten days of cold." For many intensive summer programs, the learning experience could certainly feel this way, but SLG is determined to prevent their students’ Chinese learning fall into a lull of ten cold days after their camps end.
Even through the fall season, SLG commits to extending its services to students who wish to continually improve their Chinese language skills and keep their Chinese speaking ability "hot." These services that SLG offers include live online Chinese classes that students can take in the comfort of their own home at their own schedule and pace. These classes are taught by top notch native Chinese educators of Beijing on a one-on-one basis, bringing highly enriching and relevant content on every level of Chinese learning straight to students whenever they need it.
Not only does SLG excel in providing online academic support, SLG also understands the value of developing a strong social community to encourage its students as well as offer insights to parents who are interested in sending their children to language camps. SLG's Facebook provides an open community for students to share their Chinese learning experiences and stay connected.
"As time goes by, we see the increasing importance of maintaining a strong community for our student alumni to maintain the friendships they've made, retain what they've learned, and continually strive to improve their Chinese speaking abilities," said Anna Yu, Director of SLG. "Our Facebook page has also been a place for parents to ask questions and seek more information about sending their kids to China or learning Chinese."
In order to expand the SLG Facebook community, SLG plans to launch exclusive promotional events that will engage both students and parents, who could also lower their trip costs for future summer camps by participating in such events. An event that is currently going on Facebook is "My China Experience" photo contest, where students submitted their best and most memorable photos from their trips to China so that they could share their memories and be reminded of what they saw and learned during their summer experiences. The photos that receive the most 'Likes' could win prizes too.
SLG hopes that reminders of these experiences that students hold near and dear to their hearts will encourage them to persist in improving their Chinese speaking abilities and reach for more experiences that will help them grow academically and grow as well rounded young adults. SLG believes that summer is not just about fun and games! Sino Language Gateway summer program is a place that also builds skills, helps young people grow socially, and develops confidence and connections for all involved. As days go by, SLG promises to always be a champion for its students--old and new--in helping and encouraging them to learn more every day.
