South Jersey Industries (NYSE: SJI) today announced it will donate $50,000 to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund, recently set up by Governor Chris Christie and First Lady Mary Pat Christie.
The fund was established to raise monies and resources to help New Jersey families impacted by the prolonged devastation of Hurricane Sandy beginning more than a week ago.
“We’ve seen first-hand the tremendous impact this storm has had throughout the State of New Jersey and others along the east coast,” SJI Chairman, President and CEO Edward J. Graham said. “As we support our friends and neighbors in the reconstruction of our communities, we hope that this contribution will assist those who need it most as they begin the rebuilding process.”
