Spokane R-VII School District Launches a Flexible Online Student Registration Solution from InfoSnap
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) September 08, 2015 -- Spokane R-VII School District in Missouri implemented an online registration solution to securely collect and manage student data. The district partnered with InfoSnap to modernize a paper-intensive process, increasing efficiency and family satisfaction. This customized solution streamlines new and annual student registration through seamless integration between InfoSnap and Spokane’s student information system, InformationNOW (iNOW).
“The breaking point came when I actually watched my daughter fill out a 15-20 page packet for 7 children. When families are tasked with filling out that many forms, the probability of receiving bad data increases,” said Pamila Rowe, Principal at Spokane Middle School.
The electronic format allows families who have more than one child in the district to ‘snap’ data from one student to another. SmartForm™ technology, an intuitive tool built into the solution, collects relevant data based on previously entered information or choices (grade, activities, medical history, etc.). The data submitted by families is reviewed, polished, and formatted to meet the district’s policies and then delivered into iNOW, resulting in up-to-date and accurate records on the first day of school.
“Strong integration with iNOW was a prerequisite in our search for an online registration provider. InfoSnap’s reporting functionality enables staff to generate reports for specific departments. The transportation director is alerted when a student needs to be added to a bus route. The school nurse is promptly notified when a student registers with a medical condition or allergy.
