Taddy joining our team marks a major milestone in the development of our business
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) June 15, 2009
Meteor Solutions, the technology provider that measures the value of online word-of-mouth and pass-along activities with the same precision as paid media, today announced that it has hired online advertising, marketing, and branding leader Taddy Hall as its Chief Operations Officer. Hall is the co-author of "The Online Advertising Playbook" and Former Chief Strategy Officer for the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF).
Asked about what attracted him to Meteor, specifically, Hall explained, "Meteor is doing for Social Media what Google did for Search: enable monetization at scale. Google's great innovation was not a search algorithm; it was AdWords, which enabled marketers to monetize search activity. 2009 for Social Media is what 1999 was for Search: massive consumer adoption but limited opportunity for marketers."
"For the last few years I've been watching the growth of Social Media and wondering who's going to make all this activity economically meaningful? A friend at Microsoft (Meteor client) suggested I meet Ben Straley (Meteor Solutions CEO), and it happened pretty quickly. Not many early stage companies can sign-up companies like Microsoft, Alaska Airlines, and Cisco in their first six months of operation. This says something about how big the opportunity is and also about how well positioned Meteor is to capitalize. I'm excited!"
Hall will work closely with company CEO and co-founder Ben Straley to lead Meteor Solutions through its next phase of explosive growth and help execute aggressive new revenue plans for 2009 and beyond. "Taddy joining our team marks a major milestone in the development of our business," said Ben Straley, CEO and founder of Meteor Solutions. "His impressive background as an advertising, marketing, branding and sales authority is exactly what we were looking for to help lead our company through its next growth phase and beyond."

How Meteor Solutions Works:
Meteor Solutions is an Internet software technology provider that measures the value of online word-of-mouth activities with the same precision as paid media. The company's Meteor Tracker quantifies the "pass-along" of content from one person to another as they share links, bookmarks, emails, instant messages and mobile messages. As tracked content is shared among friends, on blogs, and within communities, Meteor generates a sharing graph that shows exactly which people, blogs, and social networks are generating the most buzz about a brand, product, or campaign - so marketers can then make targeted media buys and optimize campaigns based on the findings.
Meteor has been used to track word of mouth for several multi-million dollar marketing campaigns for some of the top online, mobile, travel and game companies. Some of its clients include Alaska Airlines, Microsoft, Comcast, Palm, Bethesda Software and many more.
