At the National Association for Home Care and Hospice (NAHC) Annual Meeting, American TeleCare, Inc. (ATI), the pioneer in the development and deployment of telehealth-supported systems for connected care, announced the appointment of Terri A. Seppala as vice president, sales and marketing. Seppala is responsible for launching ATI's Advanced Care Managementâ„¢ (ACMâ„¢) initiative and establishing strategic customer partnerships to expand the ACM enterprise nationally.

Seppala is an accomplished sales, marketing and management executive with a track record of increasing market share and profitability for high-growth service solutions in the information technology, medical device and health care industries. She has 20 years of experience in sales and marketing of application software and database technology, health care products for physicians and consumers, medical devices and patient monitoring solutions.

As a vice president for Medtronic's multibillion dollar cardiac rhythm and disease management products, she directed technical field engineers and in-house employees to develop and implement technical support and medical education for physicians and clinical staff. In her position as senior vice president and general manager at Computer Associates, Seppala had global P&L responsibility for product development, sales and marketing, delivery and operations of customized and packaged education and service solutions. She also served as vice president of Americas Education at Oracle, where she directed marketing, sales and delivery of education products for Oracle applications and database technology to customers in several industries including health care and insurance. In addition, her professional experience includes several sales and marketing management positions in health care and consumer product business units at 3M.

Seppala has a bachelor's of arts degree in psychology from New York University. She earned a master's of arts in education with an emphasis in public health at the School of Education, University of Minnesota. She served on the board of Group Health/HealthPartners for 14 years and was the chair of the board when Group Health and MedCenters merged to create HealthPartners. She currently serves on the faculty in the master's of business administration program at Augsburg College in Minneapolis.
