Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association (TMVOA), sponsors and organizers of the Telluride Festival of the Arts (TFA), announced today that Grammy® nominated, folk singer Joan Osborne has been added to this year's festival schedule. Osborne will perform at a free public concert on Friday, August 14 at 5:00PM on Sunset Plaza in Mountain Village.
Osborne is best known for her hit, "One of Us," released in 1995 on breakthrough album Relish. Her appearance on the Lilith Fair Tour earned her much recognition and placed her in the same school of female singer-songwriters as Tori Amos and Sarah McLaughlin. Following the success of Relish, Osborne toured with the the Dixie Chicks and earned a brief stint as a vocalist for San Francisco jam-rockers, The Dead. She has collaborated with a number of other renowned artists and most recently released a new album, Little Wild One, in September 2008.
