Louis and Vernita Williams of Lansing, Illinois, are the new owners of the company’s 700th Express office. Louis was a pharmacist for 20 years and a pharmacy owner for 10. He has a degree in chemistry from Indiana University, a Master of Business Administration from Purdue University and a doctorate in pharmacy at the University of Illinois. Vernita managed several retail nutritional businesses for more than 10 years and was the human resources manager of the pharmacy she and Louis owned. She is a graduate of the Joseph School of Business and Entrepreneurship and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
The couple became interested in starting their own staffing company, and after looking into various franchise organizations, the Williams family selected Express.
“My wife and I were looking to join an organization with a stellar support system. Express was a perfect fit,” Louis said. “My professional life has always had meaning, but this career choice has special significance for me. The opportunity to help families and give them the chance to work gives me a special sense of purpose in this world.
