The fondest wish of everyone might be to find peace—peace that lasts! The author, Udochukwu Vincent Ogbuji, wrote an impressive narrative about his quest for perfect peace in his publication: The Peace I Know.

According to Father Udo, we all desire peace that remains even in the midst of tragedy. Therefore, a great and true triumph in life should include finding peace of mind in spite of the everyday storm that we face. That is exactly how he came to search for the true peace that endures.

Like many of us, he ran into many challenges, and some were quite out of the ordinary. Nevertheless, he worked, hoped and prayed for the best. The greatest challenge that he faced was living through a ghastly car accident! A life altering ordeal, so tragic that the first concern of doctors was to salvage his battered and trapped spinal cord which was sandwiched in between his shattered neck bones.

It was considered a miracle that he survived and lived to tell the story. The support of his medical team, family and friends had contributed to his continued healing, in addition to his delightful outlook toward life, his trusting in God and persevering in the midst of hardship. One of the things his inspiring perspective has proven is that the spiritual aspect of life is indispensable since it gives meaning to the physical realm, in addition to making it whole and purposeful.

The Peace I Know is a truly inspirational account of a person's intriguing life story! One that recounts a journey of life, where the main character tries to live well and find peace even in the middle of adversity—that he wrote the entire book with his Black Berry cell phone speaks eloquently to that fact. Readers will enjoy leafing through the pages of this book—sometimes with teary eyes and at others times with laughter as they find themselves deep in thought, edified and uplifted—and in the end, they will feel better about life and never give up in their search for that perfect peace that withstands all forms of obstacles and makes life worth living.
