United FA of Dawson County, Georgia Announces Academy and Select Tryouts for Youth Interested in Playing Competitive Soccer

(PRWEB) May 28, 2014 -- United FA is excited to announce the upcoming tryouts for Academy and Select Soccer tryouts for Dawson County. The club is the second largest youth soccer organization in Georgia. They also work with GUSA (Georgia United Soccer Alliance); United FA has been given the opportunity to compete in the United States Soccer Development Academy. “The upcoming tryouts provides the opportunity for new youth to join their club to play competitive soccer and gain valuable life skills at the same time,” says William Mostellar, Director for Dawson County. “The club has several opening spots on various teams and hopes for a large turnout,” adds Mostellar.

Tryouts for the 2014-2015 Academy/Select Season began May 27 for the U9-U12 Academy and U13 Select players. Players are strongly encouraged to attend both sessions for their age group.

Tryouts will be held at Rock Creek Park, Field #3.

Academy and Select tryouts are on May 27th, 28th and 29th for the following age groups:

U9-U12 Academy and U13
U9-U11 – Time: 5:00-6:30 PM
U12-U13 – Time: 7:30-9:00 PM

Select Tryouts are on June 3rd, 4th and 5th for the following age groups:

U14-U19 Select:
U14-U16 – Time: 5:00-6:30 PM
U17-U18 – Time: 7:30-9:00 PM

Volunteer positions needed for Dawson County:

  • Hand out and collection of fundraiser promotional items
  • Goal and net maintenance and repair
  • General clean up and put up of flags at end of last game

United Futbol Academy-Dawson offers great soccer options for players of all ages and abilities. Besides academy and select program, the club has recreation programs for youth to enjoy.
