USHIO America Announces the World’s First Multiple Ultraviolet Irradiation System (mUVi)
Cypress, CA (PRWEB) December 01, 2014 -- USHIO America announced the launch of its Multiple Ultraviolet Irradiation System (mUVi). USHIO's mUVi lab-based system is a desktop unit with the capabilities of a refrigerator-sized unit. The unit offers controlled exposure of 172nm, 190nm (VUV) as well as 222nm, 230nm and 254nm (UV) light. This unique system contains 5 selectable VUV and UV wavelength lamps that allow the user to test the effect of different wavelengths of VUV and UV light on water, air and surfaces. The 172nm and 222nm lamps are mercury-free excimer lamps, and the 190nm and 230nm lamps are mercury-free excimer lamps with a phosphor coating. The 254nm lamp is a low pressure mercury lamp. The mUVi unit can be used for surface modification, direct bonding, molecular cleaning, TOC analyzing, germicidal testing, ink curing, ozone generation and more.
