Vertex Innovations, a leader in construction oversight and project management-as-a-service, today announced the completion of its project to bring a neutral-host Distributed Antenna System (NH DAS) to the new Chase Center, the 18,000-seat state-of-the-art sports and entertainment arena in San Francisco that is home to the Golden State Warriors.

Implemented by Vertex in partnership with Verizon, the Chase Center NH DAS provides the arena with wireless capacity equal to 23 cell sites, ensuring seamless and uninterrupted connectivity and bandwidth throughout the building.

“With Chase Arena officially open for business, all inside the building including fans, working media, arena employees and emergency personnel are able to use their connected devices without lag or interruption due to the successful completion of the NH DAS,” said Barbara Nicholas, Director of Operations, Vertex Innovations. “We are proud to have been selected to work on this project with our longtime partners and to deliver the Chase Arena DAS on time and on budget, as Vertex always does.”

In addition to serving as the new home of the Warriors, Chase Center boasts 100,000 sq. ft. of retail space, 580,000 sq. ft. of office and lab space, plus 3.2 acres of plaza and public space, providing the Bay Area community with culinary masterpieces, boutique shopping experiences and family-friendly play.

Vertex supported and facilitated every phase of the NH DAS project, from concept to RFP selection to engineering, implementation and optimization. The project team coordinated and managed the efforts of multiple vendors on the project to ensure seamless transitions and on-time completions. Working alongside Verizon and its primary vendors, Qualcomm and CTS, Vertex handled every aspect of project and construction management, including the coordination of site walks and facilitation of design reviews to ensure that every decision supported Verizon’s requirements and – in turn – the needs of Chase Center attendees.
