Vets for Success: How to Hire and Work with Veterans in the AEC Professions - DORMA Design Center, NYC, Hosts Continuing Ed Presentation Feb. 20
New York, NY (PRWEB) February 13, 2014 -- A for-credit panel presentation Feb. 20 at the DORMA Design Center in Manhattan will explore the place of American veterans’ extraordinary skills and experience in the architecture/engineering/contracting community. Vets for Success: How to Hire and Work with Veterans in the AEC Professions will examine the particular strengths of this unique labor pool, and consider the best ways to bring veterans into the AEC sphere.
Hiring veterans is more than patriotic; it makes good business sense. Veterans come to the job with valuable technical skills, unusual dedication and deep-rooted discipline. They’re also loyal to fellow workers and supervisors, and are accustomed to accomplishing work on schedule for the sake of their team. The panel will discuss all the ways that the special abilities and character of American veterans can pay off in business settings.
