McCormick and Katzen join board members Dave Vucina, Wayport; Kate Mitchell, BA Venture Partners; Jackie Kimzey, Sevin Rosen Funds; John Evans, INVESCO; and John Long, Trellis Partners.
From 2000 to 2006, Doug McCormick led iVillage, Inc. as chairman and CEO, building a leadership brand and increasing the company's value exponentially by the time it was sold to NBC Universal in May of 2006. Prior to his tenure at iVillage, McCormick served as a management and marketing consultant, which built on his experience and success as president and CEO of Lifetime Entertainment Services. He brings more than 30 years of broadcast and advertising experience to Wayport's board, including executive roles at Samuel Goldwyn Television, Petry Television and Cable Health Network. McCormick currently serves as the non-executive chairman of LIN Television and is a venture partner with Rho Capital Partners.
Larry Katzen is a highly successful senior executive with significant achievements in leadership positions at Arthur Andersen, where he served from 1967 until 2002. During his career, Katzen held various positions including managing partner of their worldwide retail industry practice, co-managing partner of the firm's strategic planning group and regional managing partner where he supervised offices in the Midwest. He is well-regarded for his ability to create innovative company-wide initiatives in leadership and profitability. Katzen currently serves on the board of directors for Kellwood Company, a $2 billion apparel company listed on the NYSE, where he is chairman of the audit committee and a member of the executive and compensation committees. He also is a member of the board of directors for Pathmark Stores, a $4 billion grocery store chain located in the northeast, where he serves on the audit committee.
"We are very pleased to welcome Doug and Larry to the Wayport board of directors," said Dave Vucina, CEO for Wayport.
