IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 11, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Working Wardrobes (http://www.workingwardrobes.org), a nonprofit that helps people overcoming difficult challenges find meaningful employment, announced today it is coordinating efforts to send New Year, New Start Boxes filled with toiletry items to 1,099 families who lost everything in the Paradise, California Fire. Of the victims Working Wardrobes is assisting, only six families have homes still standing.
"We are heartbroken to learn how many people lost absolutely everything in the Paradise Fire, the majority narrowly escaping with the clothes on their backs," said Jerri Rosen, Founder and CEO of Working Wardrobes. "We are coordinating New Year, New Start Boxes filled with toiletry items to offer some level of comfort. Our official name is Working Wardrobes for a New Start. These boxes are designed to help Paradise families start the New Year with promise and hope for better days ahead."

From now until the end of month on Thursday, 1/31/19, donors are asked to bring toiletry items to the Working Wardrobes Donation Center at 1851 Kettering Street in Irvine, Monday – Saturday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Donors can also sponsor the cost of an entire box (or boxes). Working Wardrobes has already delivered thousands of clothing items to the Paradise Fire victims, including casual and business attire, as well as comfortable socks. Generous Working Wardrobes corporate partners helped with clothing donations, including Men's Wearhouse, Tailored Brands, Delivering Good, and Alloy Apparel.
Rosen says that what is needed now are toiletry items for every day care.
