Author Allan Pitman has been a competing Ironman Triathlete for 30 years, and has been coaching triathletes for 25 years. His new book, “100 Bedtime Stories for Triathletes” (published by Balboa Press AU), offers a collection of short stories for athletes who are eager for information connected to their sport.
“These days survival in a wild environment is not like it was one hundred years ago, today ordinary people are looking for ways to test themselves,” says Pitman. “I give the readers a group of short stories which inspire ordinary mums and dads to test themselves in extreme endurance events.”
Most of the stories focus on ordinary people who accomplish extraordinary feats. Pitman uses a conversational style that is easy-to-read and intended to motivate readers to push themselves toward their fitness goals.
“Triathletes are hungry to get their hands on any stories related to their passion,” says Pitman. “There are no books like it.”
