Local Mobility Company Ensures a Father and Son Spend the Holidays Together
Austin, TX (PRWEB) December 19, 2014 -- Debra Dowden, owner of 101 Mobility of Austin made a swift decision to do the right thing and donate a patient lift rental unit to a local family for the holidays. Timothy Duckworth is hosting his son Connor for a twelve-day visit all the way from England. His visit is extra special since it may be the final Christmas is able to spend with his father.
“It was easy to make the decision to donate the Liko lift rental,” said Debra. “We’re lucky enough to be in an industry where we get to help people each day.” The need for the lift was brought to Debra’s attention from the local Muscular Dystrophy Association. They often lend equipment to families in need over the holidays, but when Mr. Duckworth called to inquire about a lift, they did not have any remaining for loan.
“We couldn’t be happier to answer this call and help out a local family, especially at this time of the year,” said Debra. 101 Mobility of Austin helped another local woman earlier this year by donating the installation and some track for an in-home patient lift system.
All 101 Mobility locations are involved in their communities and work diligently to increase accessibility and mobility for their neighbors and exceed customer expectations.
