Farmingdale, NY (PRWEB) September 09, 2014
John Michielini, owner of 101 Mobility of Long Island, will join the Long Island Chapter of the National Council on Aging (NAIPC) and iFix Screens to support the Suffolk County Sherriff Office’s Project Lifesaver initiative.
Project Lifesaver utilizes innovative tracking technology in the form of a wristband. Individuals enrolled in the program simply wear a specially designed wristband and should they wander off or get separated from their family or caregiver, law enforcement is notified and the person is usually found within minutes. The swift tracking system takes on average 95% less time than standard search operations.
In response to a growing need for specialized search and rescue teams, the responding Suffolk Country search party will also be trained specifically to work with those with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other cognitive conditions.
Tomorrow, 101 Mobility of Long Island, iFix Screens, and NAIPC will be presenting the Suffolk County Sherriff’s Office with donations to help fund their Project Lifesaver campaign. Additional information about Project Lifesaver can be found on the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office’s website at http://www.suffolksheriff.com
