It was our privilege to work with the San Jose Mercury News Wish Book to help the Ruiz family.

101 Mobility of San Jose recently expanded their involvement in the San Jose community by donating the installation of an auto lift for a young boy. The installation was a part of a Mercury News Wish Book community fundraising project.
Isaac Ruiz was born with osteogenesis imperfecta, a condition which affects his bones and causes frequent and painful bone fractures. The project put out a call to the community for a power wheelchair, standing frame, and auto lift for transport. 101 Mobility of San Jose, a local auto lift provider and installer was more than happy to find the perfect lift for Isaac’s needs and donate the installation work.
The new lift is a Harmar AL-500 and will allow Isaac’s family to transport his power chair around town and beyond. Before the lift was added, Isaac was limited to using his power chair at home or in close proximity to his neighborhood; now he can hit the road. This new ability to travel gives Isaac the chance to lead an active, safe, and inclusive life. “It was our privilege to work with the San Jose Mercury News Wish Book to help the Ruiz family,” said Virgil Moore, owner of 101 Mobility of San Jose. “Isaac’s mother told us that Isaac watched the installation from his bedroom window and was excited and thankful for the new auto lift to transport his power wheelchair,” he said.
The auto lift installation is just one way 101 Mobility continues its dedication to increasing accessibility and mobility in the community. To learn more about 101 Mobility’s values, services, and available accessibility products, please visit: http://sanjose.101mobility.com/
