About Jackie Sherrill’s 12th Man Kickoff Team Foundation
In 2007, Jackie Sherrill’s 12th Man Kickoff Team Foundation was created to provide scholarships to students at Texas A&M University. The non-profit organization is comprised of 65 former 12th Man Kickoff Team players, including emeritus members Dr. John J. Koldus and Billy Pickard, and scholarship football lettermen, including Dana Batiste, Louis Cheek and Mark Farris.
Each year, the Foundation awards more than $20,000 in scholarships to juniors and seniors enrolled at Texas A&M University. The Foundation also funds scholarships to any descendent of a former Texas A&M student killed in action while serving our country in the Armed Services. If these young men and women want to go to Texas A&M, the Foundation wants to find a way to help pay for them to do so. Several events are scheduled each year to help fund these scholarships. Whether it is through time, treasure and/or talent, volunteers are very important to these events and are always needed.
