1876 Vodka Awarded Double Gold at San Francisco World Spirits Competition
Dripping Springs, TX (PRWEB) April 10, 2014 -- Texas-made 1876 Vodka was recently awarded the prestigious Double Gold Medal at the 2014 San Francisco World Spirits Competition held March 20th through the 23rd in San Francisco at the Hotel Nikko.
The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is one of the top two spirits competitions in the world, and has gained a reputation as a leading gauge for spirits trends and top quality products. More than 1,400 spirits were judged this year with entries submitted from over 60 countries. 2014 brought the largest number of submissions in the 14-year history of the competition.
“We are really pleased to see 1876 receive this award from such a distinguished panel of judges and industry experts,” said Kevin Kelleher, CEO of San Luis Spirits, the makers of 1876 Vodka. San Luis Spirits also makes super premium Dripping Springs Vodka, winner of the Vodka Purity Trophy and Gold Best in Class at the 2008 International Wine and Spirits Competition, the world’s largest and most prestigious spirits competition.
Launched by San Luis Spirits in 2012, 1876 is an affordable vodka with a premium taste. The cost of a 750ml bottle is approximately $14. Food and Beverage World had this to say about 1876: “Definitely qualifies as an affordable super premium. As a matter of fact, it tastes like super premium! Wow…what a deal!”
Made in small batches with sweet Midwestern non-GMO corn and purified water, 1876 is naturally gluten free. It’s a perfect vodka for mixed drinks as well as Bloody Marys. San Luis Spirits sees 1876 as a new and innovative take on premium Texas well vodka. The name is a toast to the year 1876—the year that ushered in the American Centennial, the first National League Baseball game, and the adoption of the Texas constitution.
