CHAMPS Oncology Celebrates 18th Annual National Cancer Registrars Week
Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) April 08, 2014 -- CHAMPS Oncology will be observing the 18th annual National Cancer Registrars Week (NCRW) April 7-11, 2014. This celebration of the cancer registry profession was founded by the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA). With more than 35 years in the cancer registry profession, CHAMPS Oncology is honored to join NCRA in celebrating cancer registrars and their commitment to quality cancer data management.
This year’s NCRW theme, "Steadfast in an Evolving Environment,” acknowledges how cancer registrars are committed to staying current in the rapidly changing worlds of cancer diagnosis, treatment and management. Cancer registrars work in a variety of cancer treatment and research settings and manage a wide range of demographic and medical data on those with cancer.
CHAMPS Oncology recognizes the critical work being done by its staff, and all cancer registrars nationwide and is joining in the week of festivities by:
- Sending out personal thank you notes with a Target gift card to their dedicated staff
- Posting fun facts and articles on their Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest accounts
- Displaying posters in their workspaces and throughout the office
“This week we celebrate all of the cancer registrars professionals who are dedicated to ensure that quality cancer information is provided to researchers, healthcare providers and health officials to better monitor and improve patient-centered care,” said CHAMPS Oncology Vice President, Toni Hare.
