1-800-PetMeds® and Merck Animal Health Announce the 2019 National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day Contest
America's Largest Pet Pharmacy® and Merck Animal Health partnered up to host a social media contest for animal shelters! This April, the 2019 National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day Contest will give two participating organizations $500 each.
DELRAY BEACH, Fla., April 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day is coming up on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, and 1-800-PetMeds® and Merck Animal Health want to help raise awareness and encourage adoption for the thousands of pets currently waiting to find a fur-ever home through the 2019 National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day Contest.
Adopting a new pet into your home is a big decision, and if it's not something that is feasible at the moment, there are many other ways to help shelters on National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day. In addition to finding a fur-ever home for each pet, shelters can use all the help they can get to take care of the current pets in the shelter's care. Donating money, volunteering, and donating food and pet supplies are all great ways to help out animal shelters.
This April, for National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, two animal rescue organizations will win $500 through the 2019 National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day Contest. 1-800-PetMeds® and Merck Animal Health have joined forces to launch and execute this campaign to help pets in need.

The 2019 National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day Contest begins Tuesday, April 23, 2019, and runs through Tuesday, April 30, 2019. To participate, shelters must publish a post on Facebook about the contest that contains the graphic and copy we provide. All participating shelters have the chance to win $500 to be used towards the needs of the shelter. The two shelters with the most likes on the Facebook post will win.
