SharePoint Solutions announced today that three new SharePoint training classes will be taught in Chicago in October and November.

“InfoPath 2010/SharePoint Server 2010 No-Code Workflow Deep Dive” will be held Oct 22-25. This intermediate-level course offers experienced SharePoint users an in-depth look at the automating of common business processes using InfoPath and SharePoint.

Students will learn to create digital forms in InfoPath 2010 and learn to build sophisticated SharePoint 2010 workflow solutions in SharePoint Designer 2010, a free tool from Microsoft.

Upon completion of this hands-on course, students will be able to:

  •     Publish InfoPath forms to a SharePoint Server with or without Forms Services
  •     Understand best practices for form design in general and InfoPath in particular
  •     Use InfoPath 2010 to create business forms
  •     Submit InfoPath data to an external database for reporting
  •     Convert existing Word and Excel forms to InfoPath forms
  •     Write complex workflows using SharePoint Designer 2010
  •     Work with digital signatures
  •     Include external data in InfoPath forms

In November, SharePoint Solutions will hold two non-technical SharePoint 2013 introductory courses for using SharePoint 2013 or Office 365 SharePoint.

The two-day course, “Using SharePoint 2013 or Office 365 SharePoint – Part 1,” which runs Nov. 12-13, covers core fundamentals. Business professionals who have not previously used SharePoint will get a detailed overview of SharePoint 2013’s most basic and commonly used features.

“Using SharePoint 2013 or Office 365 SharePoint – Parts 1 and 2” covers core fundaments as well as additional features. This four-day course, which takes place Nov. 12-15, will provide students with a complete hands-on introduction to SharePoint 2013’s many features, capabilities, business uses and benefits. The course’s hands-on lab exercises are designed to bring real-world experience to users of SharePoint 2013 or Office 365 SharePoint.

All classes will be held at SharePoint Solutions’ PCCTI Healthcare Training Center location in Oak Brook, a suburb of Chicago. Students can also attend them live online.

“Whether students elect to attend these classes in person or online, they will experience the same high quality learning experience and return to the workplace with the necessary skills to use SharePoint effectively,” said Randy Moody, sales and marketing representative for SharePoint Solutions.

Each course includes a comprehensive class manual which is comprised of a distillation of the lecture content, the PowerPoint slides and the scripted hands-on lab exercises that walk students through the SharePoint experience.
