Newark, New Jersey (PRWEB) August 29, 2013 -- NJIT offers new Six Sigma Green Belt Course. The 48-hour Saturday course starts September 21 and runs through November 9, 2013. This course provides the knowledge, skills and experience needed to use Six Sigma methods and tools, and will help you advance towards Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. The lessons are based on the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Six Sigma Body of Knowledge, and are taught by an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt instructor.
After this course, participants will be able to identify the DMAIC steps of DEFINE, MEASURE, ANALYZE, IMPROVE, CONTROL, and know which tools are used in each of the DMAIC steps. Special emphasis will be placed on reinforcing statistical concepts for greater understanding of the use of quality tools.
Anyone participating in process improvement in organizational functions including operations, quality, logistics, finance, production, engineering and other staff functions across a wide range of industries will benefit. Attending the NJIT Lean Six Sigma overview prior to taking this class is recommended, but not mandatory.
