SharePoint Solutions Offers New Self-Paced Online Introductory Training Course for SharePoint 2013
Nashville, Tenn. (PRWEB) September 26, 2013 -- SharePoint Solutions is offering a self-paced online introductory training course for SharePoint 2013 or Office 365 as an inexpensive alternative to live classroom-based training. The new self-paced course, which has a full 12 hours of instruction, is available for a limited time at an introductory price of $399.
The 2013 version follows SharePoint Solutions’ release earlier this year of its SharePoint 2010 self-paced online introductory training course.
Users may complete the course, Introduction to SharePoint 2013, SharePoint Online, and Office 365 SharePoint (Online Self-Paced), at their own pace, and they have access to the course modules for a full 30 days. The content of this course is based on SharePoint Solutions’ “Using SharePoint 2013 or Office 365 SharePoint - Part 1” course.
“This is a great way to get up to speed on the basics of SharePoint 2013 and Office 365 at your convenience, without ever leaving your desk,” said Robert Schley, the author and course instructor.
“The goal of our self-paced online training is to impart a solid understanding of SharePoint’s capabilities as a first step to workplace-ready skills,” he added.
Schley explained that going through the self-paced course is similar to auditing a college course. Students will see demonstrations of SharePoint’s features, combined with the core lecture content, but they won’t have the course materials, the hands-on lab experience or the assistance of a live instructor.
Upon finishing all the modules in the self-paced course, students receive a certificate of completion. If they later choose to take the full classroom-based course, they may use their certificate of completion to receive $399 off the purchase price of the corresponding two- or four-day classroom-based class.
Both the SharePoint 2010 and 2013 self-paced eLearning courses are SCORM-compliant (Sharable Content Object Reference Model), and can be used with Learning Management Systems to facilitate enterprise-wide SharePoint training.
Minimum computer requirements for the self-paced online SharePoint training are as follows:
• An Internet connection
• Web browser:
o Internet Explorer 7+
o Firefox 2+
o Safari on Mac 1.2+
• Adobe Flash Player 9+
• Javascript and third-party cookies enabled
While not a requirement, the class is best viewed using a minimum screen resolution of 1024×768.
