Hospice Foundation Adds Development Officer
South Bend, IN (PRWEB) October 03, 2013 -- Hospice Foundation announces that Christopher Taelman recently joined the organization as Chief Development Officer. Taelman is responsible for Hospice Foundation’s resource development strategies and initiatives, including fund raising campaigns and the solicitation of major gifts, planned gifts and in-kind gifts.
Taelman’s prior experience includes serving as director of major gifts at Saint Mary’s College, leading development initiatives of health care related organizations in northern Indiana, managing community relations and communications for Northern Indiana Public Service Company and work in economic development as project manager for the Indiana Department of Commerce. He is a graduate of Indiana University and completed an executive management program at the University of Notre Dame.
A South Bend native, Taelman returned with his family to live in the area in 1996 and has been active in community activities and organizations. He was recently reappointed to serve as a member of the Indiana Commission on Mental Health, is a past president of the board of directors of the Indiana Economic Development Association, past president of the board of directors of Leadership South Bend/Mishawaka, served as vice president of the board of trustees of the Studebaker National Museum and served as a board member of Chamber of Commerce of St. Joseph County, Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce, Indiana University School of Journalism Alumni Association, and the Boys and Girls Club of St. Joseph County. He has been a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Rotary Club of South Bend. He lives in Granger with his wife Tracy; they are the parents of four children.
