Texas Coastal Energy Company is pleased to announce that Mr. Sharath Sury will be joining the Company’s Board of Directors.
Mr. Sury is currently the Executive Director of SIFIRM, a consortium of wealthy families and has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Financial Economics at the University of California at Santa Cruz, and a Lecturer in Finance at San Diego State University. Prior to his work in academia, Mr. Sury built and ran one of the nation’s top ranked wealth management firms, supervising nearly $3 billion of investment assets spanning stocks, bonds, hedge funds, and private equity. He had previously served as a Vice President in the Investment Management Division at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the 1990s.
“Mr. Sury’s unique and extensive expertise in the capital markets, combined with his vast network of high profile relationships makes him an ideal addition to our Company’s Board as we begin the next phase of our growth strategy,” said Jeff Gordon, President and CEO of Texas Coastal Energy Co.

Mr. Sury will join the Board effective September 15, 2013.
