Worcester, MA (PRWEB) October 20, 2013 -- The fifth annual New England Broadcast and Cable Expo (NEBCExpo) produced by JaDa Events, will be held Thursday, November 7th at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA. The event features exhibits from local, national and international equipment manufacturers, integration specialists, professional organizations and academia involved in media, broadcast and cable production. Vendor showcases are held throughout the day. Admission to the expo floor is free and will be open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Pre-registration is strongly recommended and can be done on-line by visiting http://www.nebcexpo.com. The DCU Center provides a state of the art conference facility, with ample local parking and access via public transportation.
NEBCExpo 2013 will be held in conjunction with:
The 16th annual Media Educators of America formerly known as the Video Educators of New England (VENE) fall conference, which is open to all individuals that are either involved or have an interest in video production and the use of media in an educational setting. Visit http://www.mediaedoa.org for details.
Along with our media, broadcast & cable equipment manufacturers and representatives, we will have representation from a myriad of professional organizations and academic institutions including: New England Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE-NE), Alliance for Community Media (ACM-NE), Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) and many more.
Both events offer a premier opportunity to learn, network and experience firsthand emerging trends that impact the professional broadcast, film industry and cable access communities, while affording attendees the opportunity to walk the expo floor and examine the latest technology relating to video production, video editing, digital media, video streaming, video on-demand, television studio production, distance learning, cable access studio, digital asset management, mobile broadcast and more.
Show organizers, Jan Haughey and David Scher, are pleased with the synergy the event has generated over the last few years among the various participating organizations and attendees that gathered for this National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) style expo. The convenience allowed those who cannot make the annual pilgrimage to Las Vegas an opportunity to spend time with manufacturers and local resellers right in their own backyards.
The 2013 event will be highlighted by a series of informative showcases open to all attendees throughout the day. Many professional organizations relevant to the broadcast and film industries have booths and are available to share information about activities and services. For students interested in pursuing a career in Media and Production, several colleges offering film and media studies will have informational booths or representatives in attendance.
Next year’s NEBCExpo is tentatively scheduled for October 28, 2014. For more information on the expo and the organizations involved visit http://www.nebcexpo.com.
