CSP Today Discuss Future Solar Energy Leaders

The high number of new jobs created is one of the less discussed advantages in renewable energies. A solar thermal power plant can employ an average of 400 workers a day during construction, reaching peaks of around 1,000 employees and between 40 and 50 people per plant during operation.

It’s important to provide future leaders in solar energy all the necessary tools for professional success once they’ve completed their studies, masters or just began their career.

Leading solar energy professionals will gather at the International CSP Week where they’ll also participate in a seminar for future leaders in solar industry. “A fundamental aspect young engineers should strengthen after their studies is participating in specific projects, starting with real plants in operation. Other options such as technical or commercial management offices should not be dismissed,” said Brandon Páramo, co-organizer of the CSP Today Enhanced Plant Engineering 2013 conference.

A part from these values, multiple components highlight the qualities required to succeed in the solar market, “technically minded, ability to analyse processes and devices, critical thinking and ability to propose solutions to problems.”

You can rarely meet the major players in the solar thermal industry under one roof. From research instituions such as the DLR or CIEMAT to EPCs as TSK and Cobra Energy, consulting companies such as Astrom Tehcnical Advisors, technology providers or promoters like SkyFuel, SolarReserve, ACWA will be providing solutions to the most urgent challenges in the CSP industry at this year's CSP Today Enhanced Plant Engineering.
