Emigsville, PA (PRWEB) October 01, 2013
For those who are struggling with maintaining strong communication throughout a globally-dispersed writing team or with discovering the ROI for a company’s content management system (CMS), this year’s LavaCon Conference in Portland, Oregon on October 20-24, 2013 will provide educational sessions that address these issues. Vasont Systems is teaming up with LSI Corporation and Data Conversion Laboratory to discuss how companies can overcome these issues. Jo’lene Jernberg of LSI Corporation will present with Suzanne Mescan of Vasont Systems in the session, “Building Global Content Collaboration at LSI Corporation,” while Data Conversion Laboratory’s Linda Morone Cassola will team up with Ms. Mescan to moderate the roundtable discussion entitled, “The ROI of a Content Management Strategy.”
Ms. Jernberg, LSI’s Senior Manager of Technical Communications, and Ms. Mescan, Vasont Systems’ Vice President of Marketing, will present a case study of LSI’s successful Vasont CMS implementation. With the challenges of a globally dispersed team, a wide variety of products, a unique publishing model, and continuous corporate acquisitions and divestitures many companies experience today, LSI Corporation has conquered the issue of global content collaboration within their organization. LSI learned how to build and retain a successful global team by enforcing corporate collaboration and content assets on a consistent basis as well as leveraging existing technologies while easily implementing new services. In addition, LSI produced and maintained initial content deliveries while affording resources to implement a new content strategy.
Additionally, Ms. Mescan and Ms. Cassola, Data Conversion Laboratory’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, will be hosting an open forum to discuss how to identify the key elements in attaining a solid return on investment of a content management strategy. When a company is in the process of determining whether a CMS is right for them, it is important to research the benefits of managing and producing business information using this type of system. However, it is sometimes difficult to discover what those benefits are and how to find solid information on the benefits. With this being an interactive discussion, audience members are able to provide their own personal insight or experiences on the topic.
LavaCon was founded in 2002 to educate managers and team leaders on how to develop technical communication projects. The program has expanded over the years to include sessions on project management, content strategies, how to leverage social network and new media technologies, and more.
