18-Year-Old Teen Mentor Lauren Galley Spreads "Girl Power" in Cincinnati, Ohio
Spring, Texas (PRWEB) October 01, 2013 -- Lauren Galley is a teen mentor, author and president of Girls Above Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering tween and teen girls to be confident and become leaders of their millennial generation. Lauren’s visit to McAuley High spreads “Girl Power” to the Ohio state.
On Friday, 13 September 2013, Lauren Galley visited the well-known all-Catholic girls school McAuley High. Lauren understands the many pressures teen girls face in today’s media-driven society and is on a mission to instill confidence and leadership skills in today’s youth. Her peer to peer mentorship is relatable as Lauren’s genuine message is accepted with positive accolades. Lauren’s speech is based on her “Girl Talk” program designed for small groups with conversational interaction and activities that allows girls to talk about the pressures and challenges teens face in their everyday lives.
Galley was overjoyed by the positive response from the students and faculty. “Being able to speak to so many girls and hearing their enthusiasm reinforces the need to team together and support one another instead of tearing each other down. Having confidence allows us to go forward and reach our dreams.”
