Alchemy Systems, global leader of innovative technologies and services in the food industry, today announced the addition of two executive level team members. Christine Mills, the new Senior Vice President (SVP) of Global Sales & Marketing, will be responsible for increasing revenue by expanding Alchemy’s market share. In addition, Alchemy’s Industry Relations Manager, Laura Dunn Nelson, was promoted to VP of Technical Services & Business Development, where she will spearhead a new company focus on expanding customer services, while continuing to drive and manage Alchemy’s emergence into new markets.
“Over the last decade, Alchemy has made a significant impact in the way the food industry educates their workforce to drive successful food safety cultures. As we continue to grow and expand into other markets along the international food supply chain, we will rely on Christine and Laura’s expertise to lead our growth strategies,” said Jeff Eastman, Chief Executive Officer of Alchemy.
Mills comes to Alchemy with over 20 years of experience with software and professional services at SkillSoft and Unisys. Most recently as SVP of Sales at SAI Global Compliance, she achieved over 400 percent revenue growth for North American sales. As SVP of Global Sales & Marketing at Alchemy, Mills will lead Alchemy’s global sales and marketing teams while managing the development of industry partnerships and initiatives. Mills holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The nationwide search for Mills was conducted by Paul Miller and Jim Longnecker, Managing Directors at Kincannon & Reed. Kincannon & Reed is the leading global executive search firm focused on the food, agribusiness and life sciences sectors, and their suppliers and service providers.
Nelson has 25 years of experience implementing food safety and quality control programs, including strategies to ensure compliance with the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), for processing, packaging, food service and retail operations. Prior to Alchemy, she managed Sillliker’s South Region food testing laboratories, implemented ISO 17025 requirements, conducted GMP, distribution and HACCP audits, and trained new food safety auditors. Her “hands-on” experience in testing food products for the presence of pathogens, toxins, and spoilage organisms, has been instrumental in helping food companies successfully implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality assurance, and HACCP programs. She is a graduate of University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology.
Using her deep understanding of the protocols for the safe production and manufacturing of our global food supply, Laura is instrumental in the development of Alchemy’s state-of-the-art solutions that enable customers to achieve their business objectives. As a member of the senior management team, Laura will continue to contribute to the development of Alchemy’s business strategy.
