Nexus Incorporates Latest EMC VNX Series into NexusConnected VSPEX Offerings
Valencia, CA (PRWEB) October 01, 2013 -- Nexus, a leading national provider of professional, cloud and managed services for advanced IT solutions, today announced that they are including EMC® Corporation’s next-generation VNX® storage arrays into their complete catalog of NexusConnected VSPEX® offerings. Highlights of the new VNX Series include dramatically increased application performance, storage efficiency, data protection, data availability and ease-of-use. All achieved at 1/3 the price of the previous VNX generation.
EMC has enhanced the EMC VSPEX Proven Infrastructure portfolio with 18 configurations, all of which include the new VNX systems. The inclusion of the new VNX 5400, 5600 and 5800 in VSPEX solutions delivers 2x more VMs and twice the value offering the broadest choice for workloads that matter most.
Built on EMC’s award-winning storage and data protection solutions, along with best-of-breed virtualization, server, and network technology from EMC alliance partners such as Cisco, Citrix, Intel, Microsoft and VMware, VSPEX is a flexible reference architecture that helps customers shorten time to value, reduce IT overhead and streamline management as they transform their IT.
The new VSPEX configurations powered by VNX further speed transformation to the cloud by driving simplicity and offering more VMs per system, thereby reducing time-intensive planning, sizing and configuration by administrators.
“The new VNX architecture enables Nexus to provide even more value to our customers at the same or lower cost,” stated Steve Rogers, Director of the Data Center Practice for Nexus. “With the new VNX series, we are seeing significant performance improvements on virtual, file and database workloads. Integrating these new models into our NexusConnected VSPEX offerings is a great enhancement to our portfolio of solutions.”
Chad Dunn, Director, VSPEX Business Operations, EMC Corporation said, “VSPEX proven infrastructures have accelerated time to value for thousands of EMC customers. With these solutions now leveraging the new EMC VNX Series, which was totally redesigned to unleash the power of multicore and flash technology, EMC partners like Nexus are able to leverage a superior midrange storage technology as part of their VSPEX offering as they help their customers transform their businesses to the cloud simply, efficiently and with flexibility.”
