Palace Construction Celebrates 50-Year Anniversary
Denver, CO (PRWEB) October 01, 2013 -- Palace Construction today announced the celebration of 50 years of service to the Colorado community with an open house at their Denver headquarters.* "Our mission is building better lives, and we’ve been committed to that approach to business and construction for half a century," said Lou Jahde, Founder and Chairman. "We are grateful to our customers, employees and supporters."
Palace Construction was founded in 1963, on the promise of best-of-breed restoration work for insurance repairs. It was those formative experiences that imparted the value of listening to the customer. "Often, our early work came during a stressful time for our customers, which taught us why compassion and ethical practices are so important," said Rick Carter, President and CEO.
It’s a sentiment echoed by Mr. Jahde, who early on learned the importance of honorable service from his father, who also worked in construction: "When I was 10 years old, I was helping my dad demolish a room in a house. We tore into this wall, and behind the plaster there was a box full of money—now this is the Depression era, you understand. I said, ‘Wow, Dad, what are we going to do with all this money?’ And he said, ‘We’re going to give it back to the owner.’ And he did. And that always stayed with me, that sense of doing the right thing."
"The Palace family supports that simple philosophy," said Mr. Carter. "In every interaction with our customers, subconsultants, tradespeople and the public." In subsequent years, Palace Construction has broadened its portfolio well beyond restoration services to include multi-family housing, corporate space, education and religious facilities. The company is now among the top contractors in the Mountain States region, having received multiple awards from the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Colorado and the American Institute of Architects (AIA), among others.
"We’re excited to celebrate 50 years with Palace’s customers, our staff and the larger community as we look ahead to the next 50," said Mr. Jahde. "We’re just getting started."
