Lightspeed Systems Announces New Corporate Giving Program
(PRWEB) October 01, 2013 -- Today, Lightspeed Systems launched a new corporate giving program focused on both the education community and company employees and their charitable interests. The Lightspeed Systems Foundation aims to serve administrators, educators, and students by awarding competitive grants and other charitable contributions that impact the learning community. The Lightspeed Systems Foundation also empowers Lightspeed Systems employees to participate in philanthropic opportunities and to give back to the charitable causes that are important to them.
Lightspeed Systems partners with schools to create safe, mobile, and collaborative learning programs. The company’s K12 specific solutions are designed to ensure safe anytime, anywhere learning with flexible filtering policies, mobile device management, and a dynamic learning management system. The company is pleased to now partner with schools in a new way with the Lightspeed Systems Foundation.
Through Amazing Grants and Amazing Gifts, Lightspeed Systems will reward K12 schools with up to $5000 for outstanding digital learning projects that result in inspired teachers, engaged students, confident IT staff, and involved parents. Applications for Amazing Grants are being accepted now, with submission, review, award and reporting done by employees of Lightspeed Systems, with assistance provided by Kern Community Foundation.
In hopes of empowering employees to participate in the Lightspeed Systems Foundation and to identify meaningful charitable causes, the company will also be providing Amazing Employee Giving Cards. These Cards will allow employees to make a difference in their communities by donating to the charities they care about. Employees are encouraged to involve themselves in the work of their favorite charities, and Amazing Employee Giving Cards will enable them to support that work.
The Lightspeed Systems Foundation represents the next level of partnership for the company long committed to working together with schools.
"This is an exciting time for our company and education community," shares Lightspeed Systems CEO Joel Heinrichs. "Educators are doing inspiring work in the classroom and we are honored to recognize and reward the positive impact they are making in the lives of students around the world.
The Lightspeed Systems Foundation is now accepting applications.
