Europe Unlimited and Incubateur Descartes present the final programme of the Greencity Investment Forum - taking place on October 18, 2013 in Paris-Marne-la-Vallée - including the list of presenting companies in the green & smart city sectors, selected from a pool of over 60 applications.

The Greencity Investment Forum (GIF) will take place on October 18, 2013 at Cité Descartes in Paris-Marne-la-Vallée. The event will convene top entrepreneurs, investors, corporate representatives and other key players operating in the green & smart city sector. Around 30 emerging entrepreneurs coming from France and overall Europe have been selected from a pool of over 60 companies to present their innovations, developments and needs in front of an investor jury of about 50 business angels, venture capitalists, corporate investors and other industry experts.

The program and unique set-up of the event will enable knowledge exchange and fast-paced business collaboration throughout Europe within the clean technology innovation sector. During the opening and closing panel discussion sessions, venture capitalists and corporate representatives from all over Europe will high lighten the newest trends and business opportunities in the energy efficiency and sustainable urban system.

28 best most promising early stage companies
The 28 most promising early stage companies operating in the technology spectrum of green & smart city sectors based in Europe have been selected from a pool of over 60 candidates to present their business in front of a jury of 50 venture capitalists, corporate representatives and other industry experts. The presenting companies are all active with projects in the Eco-Technology, Eco-Mobility, Eco-Construction and Eco-City sectors, and the best 8 benchmarked companies will be awarded at the end of the Forum and continue to European Venture Summit.

As Jean Christophe de Tauzia, Managing Director of Incubateur Descartes notices: “The selection was quite a challenge as all candidates submitted interesting and pioneering projects, but thanks to the reviews of the selection committee we have been able to identify for the forum an interesting showcase of the latest innovations which France and other European countries are developing for a smarter use of common resources such as heating, electricity, and transportation.”
