XBOSoft CEO, Philip Lew to Speak on Improving Mobile User Experience at PNSQC 2013 Conference in Portland
San Francisco,CA (PRWEB) October 07, 2013 -- XBOSoft’s CEO, Dr. Philip Lew has been invited speak on his mobile user experience research at the Pacific Northwest Software Quality Conference 2013 (PNSQC) in Portland, Oregon. This 3-day event features senior software quality experts from leading companies including Intel, McAfee and Microsoft.
In his opening day session at 9 a.m. PDT, Lew will present “Understanding and Improving Mobile User Experience” drawing on his experience of overseeing the evaluation and improvement of clients’ mobile applications. He also shares his experience developing models used to evaluate software quality while incorporating usability and user experience. The presentation, based on joint research with the National University of La Pampa, Argentina, utilizes the rich analytical expertise of Dr. Luis Olsina.
Dr. Lew summarized key points in the research, “With many start up companies now taking a mobile first or even a mobile only strategy, mobile user experience has become a make or break factor in meeting their business objectives. Design and evaluation of web applications cannot account for the particular features and usage contexts of mobile applications. Characteristics such as multi-touch gestures, button size, and widget usage have a magnified impact on task completion rates. “
Under the direction of CEO Philip Lew, XBOSoft revenues have increased more than 20 percent annually for the past six years and are on track to grow by at least that pace in 2013. The company has seen substantial revenue increases since moving toward providing software quality assessment, measurement and improvement consulting as a perfect complement to its software testing services .
