APCON Solves Oversubscription with Multi Stage Filtering
Wilsonville, Ore. (PRWEB) October 01, 2013 -- APCON, the industry leader in intelligent network monitoring and security support solutions, today announced a new Multi Stage filtering technique that optimizes and simplifies the data packet filtering process at the ingress point. This firmware solution is exclusively available in APCON’s Series 3000 INTELLAFLEX blades and switches.
Multi Stage Filtering will become increasingly important as data center growth to 40G and beyond occurs from trends such as big data, BYOD security and the Internet of things. Designed to improve the data accuracy delivered to network analytics tools and mitigate network monitoring tool oversubscription, APCON Multi Stage Filtering enables the end user to have full flexibility and control of parsing and sharing data from multiple sources to multiple destinations from an easy Graphical User Interface (GUI). Multi Stage Filtering enables users the next level of packet efficiency while removing the risk of congestion.
The GUI simplifies the management of Multi Stage Filtering and creates a visual platform for extreme ease-of-use and enhanced productivity. The user can easily define network routing connections, data aggregations and apply this new filtering technique, alleviating the threat of port/blade/switch oversubscription, congestion and packet loss.
“APCON is committed to deliver end-to-end solutions that allow network monitoring architectures to reach their full potential without over-extending tools,” said Richard Rauch, President and CEO of APCON. “Our unique Multi Stage Filtering technique enables automatic connections and filter rules in the ingress with zero risk of packet loss all with a simple mouse click. It allows customers to significantly extend the life of their existing 1G monitoring tools, reducing engineering design time and overall operating expenditures.”
Pioneered by APCON, the software-based Multi Stage Filtering and GUI interface are available via a new firmware update exclusively available across all Series 3000 INTELLAFLEX blades and switches without any hardware upgrade requirements.
APCON Multi Stage Filtering is making its debut this week at Interop New York at booth #636 along with its new 36-port 1G/10G INTELLAFLEX Time Stamping & Packet Slicing Blade.
