Lenexa, KS (PRWEB) October 03, 2013 -- Valued Veterans, a nationwide appraisal management firm, was officially recertified as a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
On September 13, 2013, Valued Veterans was notified of their recertification approval in a letter from the Director of the Center for Veterans Enterprise. The Department of Veterans Affairs has special authority to provide Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB/VOSB) with set-aside and sole source federal contracts.
The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act has been the focus of significant commentary since its enactment. Section 342 of Dodd-Frank empowers the Offices of Minority and Women Inclusion (“OWMIs”) to examine the diversity practices of their respective contractors and subcontractors, and to assess the diversity and inclusion policies and practices of entities regulated by the agencies. Dodd-Frank's diversity provisions, then, impact all financial services companies, even those who are not party to any federal contract.
