Best-Selling Author Kami Garcia Releases Unbreakable, New Release Thrills in Reviews as the YA Legion Tour Begins
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 01, 2013 -- #1 New York Times bestselling author Kami Garcia (coauthor of the Beautiful Creatures series) kicks off the “YA Legion Tour” for her new solo novel Unbreakable, which was released today. The tour will kick-off at Barnes and Noble at the Grove at 7 pm, with young adult authors Alyson Noel, Katie Alender and Marie Lu, and a live musical performance from popular alternative rock artist, Dom Liberati, whose original song, “You Still Haunt Me” accompanies Garcia’s book trailer. In honor of the launch of Unbreakable, Liberati will also be performing a free concert at the Mint after the in-store event.
Garcia will be joined by more than a dozen bestselling authors on her 8 city national tour, including: Ransom Riggs, Rachel Caine, Tahereh Mafi, Lauren Oliver, Margaret Stohl, and Holly Black.
When asked why she wanted to include other authors on her tour, Garcia said, “I love book store and library events — the way I love pizza and hot fudge sundaes, ‘Supernatural’ and ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ a stack of new books and rainy day to read them. I want my events to be that much fun, and I’m not cool enough to pull that off on my own, so I invited 18 of my favorite YA authors to come on tour for Unbreakable with me.”
Unbreakable is already attracting attention, with forthcoming publication in 17 countries and translation in 13 languages, and actress Candice Accola from the CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” is reading the audiobook.
