LINQ Services Defies Wireless Industry with #228 Ranking on Inc 500 List

Young entrepreneur, snubbed by wireless carriers, gains back-to-back Inc 500 listings by taking advantage of their poor service and high prices.

When a major wireless carrier discontinued his independent dealer contract and withheld a $60,000 payment, Kevin Lowe, then aged 20, started over – this time with a competing carrier. A few years later, his carrier refused to pay a $220,000 commission – both times tensions had been caused by his customer service team. They simply fought too hard and too often to ensure customers got the pricing and service they’d been promised.

Mr. Lowe considered leaving the wireless business altogether – but his customers wouldn’t let him quit. “The CEO of my biggest client was horrified when I told him they’d have to deal with the carrier directly” says Mr. Lowe, “They had over 500 cell phones and we’d been handling all of their customer service. He asked me to think about how I could continue to handle their account and make him a business proposal. So that’s what I did.”

LINQ Services was born when business customers saw the value not only of securing low flat rates, but of putting an expert customer service team between them and their carriers – who often frustrate their customers with confusing and incompetent service, fluctuating costs and overly complicated billing.

Today, the company is listed on the Inc 500 fastest growing companies list, for the second year in a row. With revenues of $57.5 million annually, and a growth rate of 1,892.4% over the last three years, LINQ Services is proof that good customer service and good value equals success. “We want clients who hate dealing with their cellular carriers,” said Mr. Lowe, “And fortunately for us, that appears to be a large market.”
