Pitchers Power Drive and Cardinals Pitcher Lance Lynn Launch Educational Training Series
Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 03, 2013 -- "We are excited to launch the Educational Training Series with the St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Lance Lynn. The goal is to build awareness on importance of learning to pitch using the stronger lower body muscles,” said John Miller, President of Power Drive Performance Inc.
Lance just ended a highly successful season in the major leagues with a 15-10 record. His 15th win came last week to help the Cardinals claim NL Central title. Lynn dominated with 9K's in 6 shutout innings allowing only 4 hits. Lynn struck 8 of first 11 batters to set tone for Cardinals clinching the NL Central title. This is a great accomplishment in just his 2nd full season in major league baseball, added Miller.
Last year in the first full season Lance was named to the National League All Star team. Being successful as a professional pitcher at such a young age helps create awareness of pitching from the ground up to youth and high school pitchers.
“So many young pitchers depend on throwing with their arm vs. pitching from the ground up with their stronger lower body muscles. This ground force reaction creates energy that is transferred into the arm which is the final link of the kinetic chain,” Miller added.
The Educational Training Series videos will become a brand product for the "Owners Only" training site and will be on You Tube and Vimeo for youth, high school, and college pitchers to learn from.
“The goal is to bring awareness on the importance of pitching with the lower body,” Miller said. Lance Lynn joins Drew Storen, Washington Nationals pitcher in further expanding this Educational Training Series.
The educational training uses ultra slow motion video and demonstrates -- in detail -- how Lance uses his hips and lower body. Right View Pro MLB approved computer analysis software will be used to show comparisons of successful professional pitchers with correct hip lead departure from the pitching rubber. This will help young pitchers to visualize how important it is to use the lower body and hips in their own pitch delivery. The auditory click feedback produced by the Pitchers Power Drive tells the pitcher they are leading with their hips at the right time and the correct way which Lance demonstrates.
All Pitchers Power Drive owners will have access to the web base training site which is updated often with Educational Training Series videos from professional trainers and coaches. Miller continued, “Having free access to our training site will assist youth pitchers in their development through additional training and continuous learning. This owners training site was launched with the Pitchers Power Drive over 4 years ago and is a very important part of our brand.”
“Teaching pitchers correct departure from knee lift by leading with their hips produces what we refer to as backside initiation. This means the lower and upper bodies are working in sync together to produce the most explosive delivery,” Miller added, “ This maximizes velocity potential and helps to take the stress off the arm and shoulder.
Miller said “It is very important to help pitchers achieve success while staying healthy. Lance Lynn with the Cardinals and Drew Storen with the Nationals continue to help us educate pitchers of all ages to use their stronger lower body muscles which will help their performance and arm care.
The Pitchers Power Drive increases pitchers velocity potential by teaching hip lead. This allows the head and back shoulder to position over the back foot to set pitchers weight and drive leg angle. This establishes proper weight transfer and balance with the pitcher’s natural momentum delivery. This Educational Training Series will be produced on a regular basis to further advance the knowledge of pitching. The Educational Training Series brand will also support learning proper hitting on the Hitters Power Drive, Fastpitch softball on the Softball Power Drive and golfers swing on the Golfers Power Drive.
