Macromicro Nominated for Innovative HR Tech Award in Amsterdam
Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 03, 2013 -- Macromicro LLC, a consultancy specializing in HR enterprise software, has been nominated for the iHR Startup Award, sponsored by HR Technology Conference & Expo Europe. The award competition, conference, and expo will be held in Amsterdam October 24–25.
Harri Nieminen, CTO, expressed his excitement: “We take this as a great compliment to be nominated and recognized for our work. The team is looking forward to the conference where we can show off our interface and meet new people.”
Macromicro recently released a set of browser-based tools that aggregate employee metrics from a variety of HR ERP databases. The visualizations and interface were designed to enable insight into organizational structure geared towards HR and senior management. The team’s belief is that data visualization opens up new possibilities in organizational study and optimization.
“It’s a great combination of design and business, academia and entrepreneurship,” said Alexander Cheek, Co-Founder and CDO. “So perhaps it’s not surprising that Macromicro is being seen as fresh and innovative.” Cheek is referring to his background in academia, most recently serving as a researcher and faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University. Nieminen and Brad Peterson, CEO, who both recently left Nokia, bring business and professional experience to the team. Peterson also has a track record of technology entrepreneurship in the United States.
The development team wishes to invite those interested in Macromicro to meet with them at HR Tech Europe later this month, or to contact them for a personal demonstration.
