Creativity International 43rd Print and Packaging Award Winners Prove That "Print is not Dead"
Louisville, KY (PRWEB) October 03, 2013 -- The Creativity 2014 Print and Packaging Jury, consisting of creative experts and educators from around the USA, Australia, Chile and the Ukraine, viewed and scored every entry within their medium ensuring that all the work was judged equally. They concluded with final discussions to determine the Best in Show selections from both the Professional and Student divisions. It is not mandatory for a Jury to select Best in Show winners.
Best in Show Professional was awarded to Dessein in Australia for their Black Swan Theater Company Posters and Best in Show Professional was awarded to the Auckland University of Technology for "Trophy Beer".
Kathleen Ritchie, Director of Creativity Awards stated, “We had fun, but this year the Jury's work was cut out for them - the level of work submitted has not been this high since the pre-recession years. The results reflect the Jury's consideration of all the tools a creative professional has in his or her arsenal - typography, photography, color palette, layout, materials and of course, a clear and effective message."
Some Jury comments were:
"It is smart and well executed. A beautiful balance of color and monotone, of imagery and use of white space, of photo realistic imagery and photo montage, and the great level of detail work and consistency throughout each piece make this a memorable entry."
"The first time when I saw this entry it seemed to be made by a professional. Immediately I checked the entry and it was entered at the student competition."
"The food and beverage industry is a crowded market requiring branding skills that create differentiation and identification, but I believe that this class project could likely compete as a commercial product."
"There were multiple pieces that were engaging and refreshingly original from photo essays, editorial layouts, book design and advertising, all of which deserve applause."
A complete list of winning agencies can be found on the Creativity Awards site. Top award winners will be featured on the site beginning in November.
