Progressive Medical announced today that it once again has been awarded Workers' Compensation and Property and Casualty Pharmacy Benefit Management Accreditation from URAC, a Washington, DC-based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry.
“The URAC seal of approval is a testament to the hard work of our staff,” said Emry Sisson, co-CEO of Progressive Medical. “We have a culture that continually achieves operational excellence, delivers exceptional service to our clients and has one of the more advanced quality management programs. We’re honored to have this continued recognition from such a large, nationally recognized body.”
“We applaud Progressive Medical on achieving URAC Workers' Compensation and Property and Casualty Pharmacy Benefit Management,” said URAC President and Chief Operating Officer Kylanne Green. “In today’s health care market, URAC accreditation provides a mark of distinction for organizations to demonstrate their commitment to quality health care.”
The Workers' Compensation and Property and Casualty Pharmacy Benefit Management Accreditation require companies to establish a process to assess, plan and implement operational standards to maintain quality and safety for injured workers. The standards cover clinical staff credentialing and oversight, quality improvement, pharmacy distribution channel management, formulary development and management, customer service and regulatory compliance.
In addition to URAC accreditation, Progressive Medical is an SSAE 16 service organization and complies with the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) in securing protected health information and client data.
