Washington, DC (PRWEB) October 10, 2013

Often, the reasons behind noncompliance in a federal grant program can be traced to deficiencies in the policies and procedures that the organization uses to manage the federal funds. In the upcoming Oct. 21 webinar from Federal Fund Management Advisor, “Developing Internal Controls Over Federal Programs — Your Key to Effective Grants Management,” federal grants expert Bob Lloyd will offer guidance on the control features organizations should put in place to protect their federal grant portfolio.

Participants in the Oct. 21 webinar will receive practical tips about how to respond to the need for policies and procedures in these key grants management areas:

  • Application preparation
  • Financial management
  • Cost allowability
  • Purchasing
  • Property management
  • Programmatic and budgetary changes
  • Matching and cost sharing
  • Program income
  • Reporting and recordkeeping
  • Subrecipient management and monitoring
