Safway Group Becomes Primary Distributor of HAKI® Products Throughout North America - Safway Named as HAKI’s Contracting Partner for HAKISPAN and HAKITEC® 750
Waukesha, Wisconsin (PRWEB) October 03, 2013 -- New construction and exterior maintenance projects are often subject to harsh weather conditions that can lengthen project timelines and negatively affect profitability. Now as HAKI’s main contracting partner and distributor, Safway Group is able to provide North American customers with HAKI’s weather protection systems as well as the company’s scaffolding, edge protection and hoist products.
“By combining HAKI systems with our other access solutions, we’re able to offer an even broader range of products and services, far exceeding the range offered by our competition,” said Jerry Dolly, Safway Group’s Bridge Division manager. “As a result, we’ll be able to fulfill more customer requests for an even higher level of overall satisfaction.”
HAKI’s VP of Marketing and Business Development Chris Stokes said, “Through this agreement Safway becomes, in effect, an exclusive contracting partner for HAKISPAN and HAKITEC 750 in the North American market and will also have the potential to offer our full product range to their customers. HAKI and Safway’s values are closely aligned and I am excited that together we will be able to provide safer, more productive and efficient sites across North America.”
Safway Group has a number of projects featuring HAKI products already underway following the new distribution agreement. “It was the HAKITEC 750 weather protection system which initially caught our attention,” Dolly explained. “Very often, project sites need protection from the elements, and with HAKI’s unique equipment, we’ll be able to provide our customers with comfortable and safe site protection year-round.”
Safway Services’ Boston branch has secured three new projects utilizing HAKI equipment, and the Seattle branch has secured one project to date. Other branches have successfully used HAKI products in the past, including the Norfolk Branch in Virginia, which frequently uses HAKI weather protection on projects in shipyards, and the San Jose branch which installed the HAKITEC® 750 during renovation of the Carmel Mission Basilica in Carmel, Calif. The HAKITEC 750 was particularly successful on this project as the solution had to meet the demand of local wind load codes and ensure that both the workers and the mission were able to function while the roof was removed and replaced.
According to Dolly, Safway Group has been working on the initial roll-out of the HAKI product line over the past few months, and branch surveys have shown that demand for the HAKITEC 750 is robust. “Safway Group management is committed to supporting this initiative, as are our partners at HAKI,” Dolly said. “Now that our negotiation and planning stages are complete, we have begun to provide key branches and our Bridge Division personnel with detailed training on HAKI products. From there, we plan to train personnel in other branches across North America. We’re looking forward to a strong performance from the HAKI product line across our North American distribution channel.”
