SAE Institute, recently cited by Vibe Magazine as being the best audio engineering school in America, will hold a grand opening event for its new Chicago campus on Monday night, October 21. Special guests will include famed comedy troupe Second City; award-winning radio mix show spinner DJ Boi Jeanius; EDM mixmaster and SAE Chicago instructor DJ Fabian Antonio; critically acclaimed rockers Mighty Fox; and National Red Bull 3Style Champion and SAE Chicago instructor DJ Big Once.
"We're excited to bring SAE’s fantastic curriculum to aspiring creative media professionals in the midwest,” says James Thomas, Campus Director for SAE Institute Chicago. “Our Audio Technology, Beat Lab Production, Electronic Music Production, and Music Business education programs are led and taught by Chicago’s top industry professionals, and this grand opening event will give attendees a chance to see our amazing facilities and learn about the incredible creative media education experience that we deliver.”
SAE Chicago is located in the River North neighborhood near downtown Chicago. The campus occupies over 19,000 square feet and includes fully-equipped recording studios, digital workstations, classrooms, and a theater. All four of SAE Chicago’s creative media programs combine traditional lecture style classes to teach theory along with a strong emphasis on hands-on studio application and individual training.
"Our comprehensive facilities and dynamic career-oriented curriculum are excellent complements to SAE's international network of alumni, who our grads can connect with when they’re ready to begin their job searches," says Thomas.
Along with SAE Chicago’s administrators, faculty, students, and special guests, representatives from SAE campuses across the U.S., Europe, and Australia will also be attending the launch event.
