La Terraza Atico Offers One Day Painting Classes in Barcelona
Barcelona, Spain (PRWEB) October 04, 2013 -- For travelers wanting original things to do in Barcelona, they can now spend a morning painting one of Barcelona’s iconic views.
La Terraza Atico are offering visitors to and people already in Barcelona a one-day plein-air watercolor class. They will be helped to paint one of the many beautiful cityscapes available in Barcelona, from the famous Gaudi buildings to romantic old world plazas or beach scenes.
The schedule is to paint between 9.30am and 1.30pm at prearranged locations - weather permitting.
Painting locations include Barcelonetta, Born, Parc de la Ciudella, Rambla de Catalunya, La Sagrada Familia etc. Locations are flexible and will be selected upon the preference of customers.
Those new to painting in watercolor need not worry, Paul Raymonde is an expert tutor. He will guide them through each step of the creative process. Both beginners and experienced painters are welcome.
The Price includes all art materials, expert tuition and a picnic lunch (with wine).

La Terraza Atico are unique in offering a city based painting holiday. It is ideal for those keen to learn or improve their plein-air watercolor technique whilst having the opportunity to explore the rich artistic heritage of the Catalan capital. From beginners to advanced practitioners, professional artist Paul Raymonde guides his students on how to rapidly and effectively capture a cityscape in paint.
After breakfast guests are taken out painting for approximately four hours, followed by a light lunch (with wine if desired). Visitors are then free for the rest of the day to enjoy the sights and gastronomic delights of Barcelona.
Accommodation is at La Terraza Atico, a luxurious eighth floor family penthouse apartment with a stunning roof terrace. Here visitors can enjoy a homely atmosphere whilst embracing a new skill.
Prices start at £750 for 5 days painting and 6 nights accommodation.
The concept was created by Paul Raymonde and his wife Angela. Their love of the city and knowledge of local life helps their clients enjoy a more interesting and engaging visit with plenty of advice on where to eat, what museums to see and where best to catch the sunset!
Paul Raymonde is vastly experienced as an artist. He has in the past, been commissioned by the Tate Gallery to paint a mural, contributed drawings and cartoons to many publications including Punch, Reader’s Digest and The Observer and is one of the UK's leading caricaturists.
