Bettasnax Launches Unique Biscotti Chips That are Not Only Addictive, but are All Natural and Low Calorie
Boca Raton,FL. (PRWEB) October 05, 2013 -- Bettasnax owner, Carol Bard, an Industrial Psychologist with no formal culinary training, originates from South Africa. Carol has always enjoyed a passion for baking. As a wife and mother of three beautiful daughters, she was always looking for smarter healthier snack alternatives that were also yummy and addictive. She found herself spending much of her free time experimenting with recipes for her family which were not only superior in taste or “Betta” tasting, but healthier or “Betta” for you.
Carol Bard started baking her unique products in her Boca Raton home kitchen for her immediate family. However, when she lost her job as a Human Resources Director at the height of the recession, the financial wellbeing of her family became paramount. What started as a creative hobby supplying family and friends with biscotti chips, soon changed in a big way. Bettasnax was born.
Bettasnax provides a healthy and addictive snack that fills the gap, whether it’s at work or play, at home or on the go. The three flavors of bite-sized biscotti chips (Original, S'mores, and Fruit & Nut) can be enjoyed on their own, or as an accompaniment to coffee, tea, yogurt, assorted cheeses, and fine wines. Bettasnax biscotti have a light, crunchy texture and a flavor that is delicately sweet and addictively delicious.
Once people tasted the Bettasnax treats, they were hooked and demand soon exceeded supply. The previously tidy Bard household became filled to capacity with fresh almonds, unbleached flour, and pure cane sugar. The ovens were running overtime. Supported by her husband and three young daughters, Bard was able to progress to a fully licensed culinary incubator.
Bettasnax, is based upon old fashioned values: superior quality of their products, and personable customer service. Carol only uses premium ingredients to produce healthy treats that are free of added fat, cholesterol, preservatives, and artificial flavors, colors & sweeteners. Their biscotti chips are low in Calories (80 - 90 cal. per 28g serving); total carbohydrate (14 - 16g per serving); sugar (7 - 10g per serving), and sodium (15 - 20mg per serving), one serving of 10-12 Bettasnax biscotti chips being only 2 Weight Watchers points.
Carol Bard started off selling her Biscotti chips to local natural and specialty food and grocery stores, including FRESH MARKET locations. Armed with a fabulous product in hand, and a great deal of perseverance, she succeeded in gaining national distribution of her products via UNFI, the leading U.S. independent national distributor of natural, organic, specialty foods and related products. Bettasnax now sells their biscotti chips to a number of specialty stores on the East Coast, on Amazon, as well as to a number of Whole Foods locations.
The Bards have many exciting plans for Bettasnax. They are currently in the process of completing their brand new Bettasnax Facility, and creating products officially classified as Kosher Parev, and Non-GMO. They are also working towards sharing a “Betta” snack experience and their products with other families throughout the country, via distribution to Specialty & Health Food Stores nationwide.
Carol Bard has recently participated in the Fancy Food Show in New York (June/July 2013), where she showcased Bettasnax Biscotti Chips at the NEW BRANDS ON THE SHELF PAVILION.
